Certified "Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue"

“Instructor Training”

Class Schedule
Prerequisite: Student must be ComTrain certified in 4th Edition “Advanced Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue”.  Certification in the advanced level must be current within 18 months of taking this instructor course.  (See the requirements for attaining Advanced status on the Advanced Tower Safety & Rescue page.)

To continue compliance with OSHA training requirements, employers must provide ongoing training according to the specific area of OSHA regulations. It is recommended, as an enhancement to these continuing training requirements, that employers maintain at least one certified instructor and incorporate the program into their company safety plan.

The "Instructor Training" is designed to prepare in-house instructors to incorporate the ComTrain “Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue” course into their company’s safety plan and policies while maintaining the industry standards.

This one-day class teaches how to research regulations, compliance and policy issues, how to enrich the course to personal stories, current events, approved practices, equipment, and company policies.

Candidates are taught how to complete, or modify forms, maintain documentation and incorporate changes. Candidates are also introduced to the vague issues of "continued" training and provided with workable suggestions.

The Instructor program accomplishes four primary tasks for the employer: it teaches how to use proper applications, enables implementation of company practices and safety plans, teaches where to find answers and demonstrates proper record keeping and documentation.

This class also maximizes efficiency and company legal compliance, and reduces cost.
