ComTrain recognizes that we work in one of the most dangerous occupations on the planet. As much as we train and try to work safely, accidents still happen.

ComTrain is developing a First Aid and CPR class designed specifically for the climber. The standard American Red Cross First Aid/CPR class will be taught as well as new techniques for CPR during a rescue. Working toward endorsement by the American Red Cross we have developed a procedure to administer CPR during a rope rescue situation. This and other techniques designed specifically for the climber are what make this class so important for the employee. This class will be offered as an add-on to a regularly scheduled ComTrain TS&R class.
