1 Day Basic Rigging Course – $695
The major tower companies and contractors are requiring some proof of Basic Tower Rigging Training to assist in a rigging operation. Sites are being audited to insure the existence and implementation of written rigging plans on Class I, II, III, and IV construction projects.
A basic rigger should be able to follow a rigging plan, then assist a competent rigger in executing that plan. Each basic rigger should understand the use of proper rigging techniques and equipment to perform a competent lift.
1 Day Competent Rigging Course – $795
The major tower companies and contractors are requiring a Competent Tower Rigger to create and sign a rigging plan and oversee the lift. Sites are being audited to insure the existence and implementation of written rigging plans on Class I, II, III, and IV construction projects.
A Competent Rigger should have a minimum 3 years of tower work experience and be recognized as a Competent Person by his/her employer.
The Competent Rigger student should have the experience and aptitude required to understand the development of a rigging plan and the execution of that plan. Each competent rigger should understand the use of proper rigging techniques and equipment to perform a lift.
The Comtrain Basic & Competent Tower Rigging Course addresses (OSHA 29 CFR 1926, ASSE/ANSI 10.48-2016, ASSE/ANSI 10.42-2000-R2017, ANSI/TIA ASME B30.9 and B30.26) rigging operations. (Certification is valid for 2 years)
This course has instruction and demonstrations that will cover rigging equipment selection, rigging charts and calculations, load weights, center of gravity, blocks, angles and will provide a solid overview of basic rigging knowledge. The course introduces each participant to proper rigging techniques and equipment used to perform a lift. Students learn how to recognize proper and improper rigging configurations and how to safely assist the Competent Rigger.
Records and completion:
Comtrain will maintain records of all training for future reference including:
Certification documents, tests, field checklists and student rosters signed by our instructors proving that the student successfully mastered the published material and exercises.
Upon successful completion and graduation the student will receive:
