Electrical Safety – $25
Electricity is one of the most common causes of injury and death in the construction industry. This course focuses on hazard identification, avoidance, and control measures to keep you safe. We’ll cover how electricity works, what determines the severity of the hazard, and the effects of electricity on the human body.
You’ll also learn the six main types of potentially fatal electrical injuries, cord and wire safety, safe power-tool use, how to use personal protective equipment, and other safe electricity-related work practices.
The course is followed by a computer based exam. Students must pass with a 75% or better and will have limited chances to pass the exam. If a students fails the course for any reason, they will need to pay for the course again. Upon passing the exam the student will receive a certificate of completion.
