
EnerTribe and Comtrain are partnering to provide Fall Protection and Rigging training for the tribal communities. This will bring not only communication to tribal communities but also job opportunities, access to remote educational lessons and medical services.
Tower Safety & Rescue and Rigging Classes
Comtrain classes are designed to meet OSHA regulations and addresses applicable ANSI standards and equipment needed to meet those standards. All Comtrain courses meet the Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training as per ASSE/ANSI Z490.1, the NATE Tower Climber Fall Protection Standard (CTS) and the requirements of ANSI/ASSE Z359.2, Minimum Requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program, found in the ANSI/ASSE Z359 Fall Protection Code. The Comtrain Tower Rigging Courses addresses OSHA 29 CFR 1926, ASSE/ANSI 10.48-2016, ASSE/ANSI 10.42-2000-R2017, ANSI/TIA ASME B30.9 and B30.26.
“Have you been “COMTRAINED”?”
We are proud of the fact that a “COMTRAIN CARD “ has become the term commonly used to describe all tower training certification cards (certs). The common question asked by those seeking verification of training is: “Do you have your “Comtrain Card?” Climbers that graduate and receive an authentic Comtrain cert card can boast that they have actually been “COMTRAINED”.

Rigging

The Authorized Climber/Rescuer course is an intensive 2-day program designed to help the employer meet OSHA requirements & recommended ANSI standards. This Comtrain course meets the Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training as per ASSE/ANSI Z490.1, the NATE CTS and ASSE/ANSI Z359.2 and the minimum requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program, found in the ASSE/ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Code. The Competent Climber/Rescuer course is an intensive 3 day course designed for experienced climbers (with at least 90 actual days of tower climbing experience) and In-House Instructor candidates. This Comtrain course meets the Criteria for Accepted Practices in Safety, Health, and Environmental Training as per ASSE/ANSI Z490.1, the NATE CTS and ASSE/ANSI Z359.2 and the minimum requirements for a Comprehensive Managed Fall Protection Program, found in the ASSE/ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Code. The Instructor (Train-the-Trainer ) course is designed to prepare an In-house instructor to incorporate Comtrain’s “Tower Climbing Safety & Rescue” training into company safety plans and policies and then deliver the training to their employees. More Info

The Basic Tower Rigging Course addresses (OSHA 29 CFR 1926, ASSE/ANSI 10.48-2016, ASSE/ANSI 10.42-2000-r2017, ASME B30.9 and B30.26) rigging operations in which the loads are less than 1000 lbs. More Info

The Competent Tower Rigging Course addresses (OSHA 29 CFR 1926, ASSE/ANSI 10.48-2016, ASSE/ANSI 10.42-2000-r2017, ASME B30.9 and B30.26) rigging operations in which the loads are less than 1000 lbs. A Competent Rigger must have 3 years of tower rigging experience. More Info
